On Sunday, November 15th, we are hosting a tour, tea, and medicine making class featuring herbs for smoking.
You are welcome to join for the tour/tea, and if you'd like, you can also join for the medicine making portion where we will be exploring the practical, pleasing, and utterly delightful art of herbal smoking, or what herbalist Lian Bruni calls “holistic hedonism.” We’ll explore plants for lung health, for harm reduction, for relaxation and taste–mullein, damiana, lavender, rose, passionflower vine, and more. We’ll have fun indulging our senses while working with plants and let you know about the medicinal properties, lore, and also any contraindications for the plants we'll be working with.
You’ll go home with your own blend of high-quality, organic, locally-grown herbs to mix with whoever you are enjoying during your next sesh.
What’s especially fun about this event: We welcome all kinds of smokers/smoke artists! Lou’s dispensary is a 1 min walk away from the Living Museum of Herbal Wisdom. If you want to buy some canna bud there before class, you can then add what you’ve bought to the blend you craft during our workshop.
You are also welcome to bring any other plants (including tobacco) that you’d like to add to your blend.
And if you are are interested in herbal smoking without cannabis or tobacco, we got you! We’ll be exploring this too.
Important: This is a 18+ event.
What’s included: Entrance to the museum/medicinal garden, tea/a medicinal garden tour, and, for the Make Your Own Medicine portion, a guided experience making your own herbal smoke blened with high-quality/locally grown plants that you'll take home.
A note on wellness: We're a close-knit, hands-on group. If you're feeling even slightly under the weather, please sit this one out and join us at a future event.
Important note on refunds: Because we book the space and buy materials ahead of time, we can only offer refunds if you cancel a full week before the event.
